INTERNET.COM ACQUIRES EXTREMEFLASH.COM WEB SITE, STRENGTHENING POSITION AS LEADING SOURCE FOR FLASH DEVELOPERS
(New York, NY-February 24, 2000)-- internet.com (Nasdaq: INTM), the E-Business and Internet Technology Network, today announced that it has acquired ExtremeFlash.com (http://www.extremeflash.com), an online resource serving multimedia Web developers and users of Macromedia Flash. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
With this acquisition, internet.com is now the leading provider of content and community services for the Internet's growing population of Flash developers. The site will be closely integrated with internet.com's other leading Web sites for multimedia content, including Streaming Media World (http://www.streamingmediaworld.com), and recently acquired FlashKit.com (http://www.flashkit.com) and FlashPlanet.com (http://www.flashplanet.com) Web sites.
